The likes of Tucker Carlson and Kanye West feed off the constant barrage of stories in the media about Israel that are false, misleading, or simply give undue attention to its failings. Part of this is the result of the information warfare that was the subject of a recent Mosaic article. But, Samuel Hyde observers, there is another factor in reporting on Israel that goes much deeper than any particular flawed story or persistent but inaccurate narrative: “the sheer scale of attention.” Indeed, this “systemic fasciation, bordering on obsession” mirrors the obsessiveness that is the hallmark of the anti-Semite, who sees Jews everywhere:
