Taylor Swift wants her fans to hit the theaters to celebrate on the day she releases her new album “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Swift announced on Instagram that “Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” will debut in theaters Oct. 3-5 and will feature the world premiere of her music video “The Fate of Ophelia,” as well as “never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos.”
“Looks like it’s time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan… Tickets are on sale now,“ she wrote on Instagram, adding, “Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”
When the news first dropped, the AMC website crashed as fans feverishly tried to get tickets for the showing.
The film’s runtime is 89 minutes and will be showing at select theaters worldwide.
“While normally prohibited during traditional showtimes, AMC guests are welcome to sing and dance during ‘Taylor Swift | The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,’” AMC wrote in a release, per Variety.
Swift first announced her latest album on a podcast episode of “New Heights,” which her fiance Travis Kelce hosts alongside his brother Jason Kelce.
During the show, Swift teased the 12-song tracklist and also gushed about how proud she was of the pop anthem album.
The album comes out Oct. 3.
