Michel Illouz, father of Guy Illouz who was abducted and murdered in Hamas captivity, said at the ‘October Council’ demonstration at Habima Square in Tel Aviv that “for two full years I waited for my boy. I didn’t sleep, I knew no peace — until that morning when the sheet was lifted and I saw my Guy. I touched you, my beloved, tried to smell you and felt it was you. Since then, nearly 100 days have passed and I’m still waiting. A whole country is waiting with me. We’re not waiting for an apology, we’ll manage without it. Mr. Prime Minister, we’re waiting for an answer — an answer that only a real state commission of inquiry can give us. That will restore our hope.”
