This fall—most likely in September or October—Israel will have national elections, the first since Benjamin Netanyahu was returned to the premiership in 2022. While it is common for Israeli governments either to fall or to move for early elections, prime ministers and Knesset members are in fact elected for four-year terms, and the present term is about to come to an end.
