Disney Television president Craig Erwich has opened up about the potential future of one of its popular Hulu shows. This comes after showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer‘s hit romance drama series Tell Me Lies just concluded its three-season run, more than three years after its debut on Hulu.

What did Hulu boss say about Tell Me Lies’ potential future after Season 3?

Before the series finale of Tell Me Lies was released last February 17, fans had been campaigning online for the show’s Season 4 renewal. Thanks to Erwich’s new update, it seems like Hulu is actually interested in continuing the hit series. However, it might not be exactly what the fans were hoping for the show’s future.

Speaking with THR, Erwich confirmed that discussions on bringing back Tell Me Lies with a potential new cast have already taken place. He shared that they will also continue working with Oppenheimer, who already has ideas for a new series.

“Yes, we’ve definitely discussed what another Tell Me Lies might look like with a new set of characters,” Erwich said. “Meaghan has some initial notions, but she also has an original take on family dynamics that’s a completely new series. We’re excited to work with Meaghan again. I think she’s incredibly talented at telling stories about complicated relationships.”

Tell Me Lies was created and executive-produced by Oppenheimer, based on Carola Lovering’s novel of the same name. The cast included Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Cat Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Alicia Crowder, and Tom Ellis, with Thomas Doherty as a recurring guest star. The series was executive produced by Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss, Matt Matruski, Laura Lewis, Stephanie Noonan, Shannon Gibson, Sam Schlaifer, and Jonathan Levine. Lovering is also serving as a consulting producer.
