Over 21,000 people in Kerry are signed up to the new pension auto-enrolment scheme.
The Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System aims to address the pension coverage gap that exists and to provide workers with access to a quality assured retirement savings scheme.
As of the end of January, 761,789 people were signed up to the scheme nationwide.
21,769 of those are in Kerry.
The figures were provided by Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary following a query by Fianna Fáil TD Catherine Ardagh.
Minister Calleary says these figures can frequently change as people’s circumstances change and as people enter and leave the labour market.
