After a stormy night, partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected across Israel on Tuesday, with rain forecast from the north through the northern Negev.

There is a slight risk of flooding in the Judean Desert and along the Dead Sea. Rain is expected to gradually weaken during the day. Temperatures will be slightly below seasonal averages.

Zichron Yaakov recorded the highest rainfall over the past 24 hours, with 21.7 millimeters. Other notable totals included 18.4 mm in Negba, 18 mm in Ashdod and 15.6 mm in Hadera.

In Jerusalem, 5.1 mm of rain fell, while Maale Adumim recorded 2.2 mm. Haifa saw 9.7 mm and Nahariya 9.6 mm. In the north, 13.7 mm were measured in Nazareth, 12.7 mm in Ein Carmel and 5.1 mm in Safed.

In the south, Be’er Sheva recorded 6.3 mm, Ashkelon Port 10.2 mm and Mitzpe Ramon 1.4 mm.

In the Tel Aviv area, 5.4 mm of rain were recorded in the city, 4.7 mm in nearby Beit Dagan, 1.9 mm in Hod Hasharon and 5.2 mm in Herzliya.

Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy, with rain continuing mainly in the north. Overnight, precipitation is forecast to intensify and spread to central areas. Temperatures are expected to remain unchanged.

On Thursday, partly cloudy skies will persist with westerly winds. Intermittent rain is forecast in central areas during the morning, and snow is possible in the north.

Light drizzle or localized rain may continue Friday, when the Tel Aviv Marathon is scheduled to take place. Temperatures will remain below seasonal norms.
