A number of countries including France, Spain, Turkey, Brazil, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar published a statement condemning the cabinet’s decisions regarding land registration in the West Bank. The statement said that ‘the reclassification of Palestinian land as Israeli state land is an unacceptable step toward de facto annexation.’ It also stated that Israel’s actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law.
