Reading a card that asked her to name an artist they would never find on one of her playlists, Zara said, “There’s so many artists I have blocked on Spotify, and all of them are abusers.”
“You certainly wouldn’t find a Chris Brown song,” she added, before tossing the card and saying, “Bye!”

She’s also dissed Chris in the past — notably, in a 2016 interview while playing “Song Tinder,” a game where she swiped left or right on songs she liked or didn’t.

When the interviewer played Kid Ink’s “Hotel,” featuring Chris, Zara quickly swiped right after learning he was on the song. “Hell no!” she said. When asked why, Zara replied, “Because I don’t like him.”

“I do like his music, to be honest,” she continued. “I think he’s a really talented person. He can really dance and sing, but he’s not a nice person.”

While she didn’t directly name any specific incidents, Chris has faced many public controversies in the past. They include his 2009 assault on Rihanna, for which he received five years of probation and 1,400 hours in “labor-oriented service”; a five-year restraining order from his ex Karrueche Tran after she went public with abuse claims in 2017, which Chris called “bullshit,” and more than a dozen other legal issues.

“When you’re openly just hitting on women and talking about stuff that’s just, like, not your business, and you’re trash-talking women, and you have a point of view I don’t agree with, I can’t listen to that music,” Zara said. “I will never support him.”
