Civil aviation is facing increasing disruption as international airlines rapidly adjust or suspend flights to Tel Aviv. This comes amid rising regional tensions and fears that military conflict in the Middle East could escalate, directly affecting travel bookings and air traffic.

Several governments have also raised travel warnings for their citizens, citing the possibility of airspace closures or sudden flight disruptions if security conditions worsen unexpectedly.

In a practical move, Dutch carrier KLM has announced it will suspend its Amsterdam–Tel Aviv flights from Sunday, citing heightened security concerns.

“At this time, it is not commercially and operationally feasible for KLM to operate flights to Tel Aviv,” a KLM spokesperson said.

The airline confirmed that affected passengers will receive personal notifications with the option to reschedule their flights or receive a full refund.
