PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia baseball’s Owen Estabrook was named Ivy League Player of the Week after a red-hot weekend at the plate during the Lions’ series at Kansas State over the weekend.

The junior went 4-for-10, with a homer and seven RBI, catching all three games against the Wildcats. Three of Estabrook’s hits were for extra bases, and he drew three walks for a .538 on-base percentage.

In the series opener, he was 2-for-4 with five RBI. Estabrook launched a homer to get Columbia on the board in the fifth, then delivered a game-winning two-run double in the eighth in Columbia’s come-from-behind 9-8 victory.

Estabrook notched a hit and scored a run in game two of the twinbill on Friday. The native of Santa Barbara, California, finished the series with a 1-for-3 performance, including a two-run double in the finale on Saturday.

Junior right-hander Tomas Lopez earned a spot on the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll after tossing seven shutout innings in the nightcap on Friday. He allowed just three hits and fanned three in the contest.

Columbia returns to action this Friday, March 6, when it opens a three-game series against No. 23 West Virginia. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
