A healthcare assistant who was on duty on the night an 83-year-old woman died after choking on used disposable gloves has told an inquest it was an “horrific incident she will never forget”, as she described the death as a “tragic accident”.
Louise Wilson, who had worked night shifts at the Oakridge Care Home in Ballynahinch, Co Down, for around 18 months, at the time, gave evidence to the resumed inquest at Belfast’s Laganside courts via video-link into the death of Margaret Wilson, who died in August 2022.
