With nearly three decades of first-hand experience across various stages of apparel sourcing and production, and close exposure to recurring challenges from both buyer and supplier perspectives, Deepa Kohli, CEO, Ravelheart India, has launched a new initiative, Advanox Sourcing.
“I always wanted to build an efficient working system where buyers and brands could benefit from transparent and faster communication, strong quality control, quicker handovers, and flexible decision-making. My goal was to bridge this gap by creating a sourcing house that works as a true partner. Advanox Sourcing aligns buyer expectations with factory capabilities, ensures on-time deliveries, and maintains ethical and quality standards,” said Kohli.
The company follows a proactive approach across all stages of apparel sourcing and production, supported by strong design capabilities from the reputed US-based company Ravelheart LLC. Advanox Sourcing functions as a complete sourcing hub for buyers seeking structured, value-driven solutions with contemporary designs and colour palettes.
She added, “over the last 30 years, I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and work closely with reputed international buyers across global markets. A long-standing and valuable association with Ravelheart USA, led by dynamic design leader Kami Orthmann, combined with my global sourcing experience, led to the milestone of establishing Advanox Sourcing.”
Defining success as a business leader and as a woman
On the occasion of Women’s Day, she advised aspiring women entrepreneurs to stay passionate, curious, and committed to continuous learning. Building a strong foundation through hands-on experience across sourcing and buying functions, she said, is essential. She also encouraged women to be confident and persistent, remain open to guidance, and view challenges as opportunities for growth, while supporting other women in growing with confidence and empathy.

For her, success is about creating lasting value, building strong relationships, and making meaningful contributions beyond financial results.
Building on this philosophy, Kohli said that the greatest challenge in her professional journey has been maintaining a balance between leadership responsibilities, business growth, and family life. She emphasised that this balance does not come easily and requires discipline, daily planning, prioritisation, and clear goal-setting.
“I have managed this for nearly 30 years with the constant support of my husband and business partner, Harish Kumar Kohli. Our two sons, Karmany and Devansh, have grown up witnessing this balance between work and family,” she shared.
At the same time, she noted that this challenge is also what makes entrepreneurship rewarding. “The most interesting aspect of leading an MSME organisation is the opportunity to lead by example, empower teams, and see the organisation grow through shared values and collaboration,” said Kohli.
