The return to Fromville is imminent, and if you’re feeling scared and excited, that’s allowed. MGM+’s biggest show FROM is back on April 19, once again taking viewers back to the scariest town on television currently, even worse than Derry. The network has released a brand-new trailer ahead of the series’ return next month to prepare viewers for what’s on the horizon. From new arrivals to new horrors, the town finally strikes back and wants to punish those who have been seeking answers. And that promise Boyd (Harold Perrineau) made about never being broken by it? Well, he’s about to eat his words. Below, the season’s official description reads:
In Season 4, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? Will Jade (Eion Bailey) and Tabitha’s (Catalina Sandino Moreno) revelation be the key to finally going home? How much longer can Boyd hold the town together, even as his body and mind are falling apart? And what role will the town’s most recent arrival play in the events to come? Season 4 will open doors that some in town will end up wishing had remained closed.
Knowledge Comes at a Cost in ‘FROM’ Season 4
Once upon a time, Boyd mustered all his energy and challenged the town that it would never break him. Now he’s admitting in the trailer above that something is changing. The nightmares of the real world follow him in his sleep, and that is bound to break someone at some point. For the first time, Boyd starts to consider something he never thought possible: they might never leave this place. All the work they’ve done has led to nothing, since the town keeps finding new ways to break them. “There’s something ancient here, and it’s feeding on our suffering. And it doesn’t stop,” Marielle (Kaelen Ohm) says, hinting that while the townsfolk thought leaving was the end goal, maybe whatever brought them here did it to make them suffer for the sake of it. There are no rules, just this existence.
Meanwhile, more mysteries are on the horizon as the Man in Yellow makes his presence — and the extent of his power — known. And if you thought the town was done receiving more people, well, there’s space for everybody. What do these new arrivals mean for the town and its longtime residents? Is FROM looking to convince us that answers don’t matter? What did all the discoveries made in the Season 3 finale mean for the town?
Watch the new season when it begins on Sunday, April 19, only on MGM+. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
