Two familiar faces return to the Formula E paddock for the upcoming Madrid Rookie Test – taking place on Sunday 22 March. For 20-year-old Nikita Bedrin, this will mark his third opportunity to get behind the wheel of the GEN3 Evo, having taken part in the 2025 Berlin Rookie Test and the 2026 Miami Rookie Free Practice session.Â

Bedrin is a multiple race winner in international karting competitions, he made headlines by dominating the 2020 WSK Super Master Series (OK), where he won heats, qualifying sessions, prefinals, and finals over the final two rounds. More recently, he achieved FIA Formula 3 Sprint Race victory in 2024, confirming his potential at the highest levels of junior single-seater racing. For 2026, Bedrin has made the move to GB3 to mount a title challenge with VRD RACING.Â

Joining him in the black and gold of DS PENSKE, is Formula 1 veteran, Daniil Kvyat. Russian-born Kvyat is an accomplished driver with extensive experience in top-tier motorsport. Having competed in multiple Formula 1 seasons with teams such as Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso, Kvyat has demonstrated skill and adaptability at the top level. In 2026, he will make his debut in the Super GT series with JLOC (Japan Lamborghini Owners’ Club).
This is not the first time that the 31-year-old has driven Formula E machinery, having previously driven in Berlin Rookie test’s for both DS PENSKE and NIO 333.Â
