As you were, is the general rule from World Sailing when it comes to the classes confirmed for the Olympic Games LA28.
In an effort to provide continuity for the sailing athletes, the same classes that competed at Paris 2024 will remain for the California-hosted event, which will take place from 16 July to 28 July 2028.
Two iconic Southern California locations will showcase the world’s best sailors in little more than two years’ time, with Belmont Shore in Long Beach staging the board events and the Port of Los Angeles the venue for boat-led races.
For the USA-hosted Games, there will be two mixed boats (470 and Nacra 17) plus four boats for each gender, totalling 10 events.
The classes are as follows:
Men’s skiff (49er)
Women’s skiff (49erFX)
Men’s kite
Women’s kite
Men’s dinghy (Ilca 7)
Women’s dinghy (Ilca 6)
