So, what’s their next destination? The announcement for the third season of Netflix’s One Piece came in August 2025, a full seven months prior to the debut of Season 2 on March 10. If you’ve devoured the entire season and are eager for your One Piece fix regarding what lies ahead, here’s everything we currently know about the upcoming season, which is in the works.Over the last year, a number of fresh and thrilling talents have been added to the cast of One Piece for the third season. Xolo Maridueña from Cobra Kai joins the ensemble as Portgas D. Ace, while Tony Award winner Cole Escola steps in as the theatrical assassin Bon Clay. This isn’t the last we’ll see of the Baroque Works agents, as two new actors will appear as guest stars. Daisy Head from Shadow and Bone will portray Miss Doublefinger, and Awdo Awdo will take on the role of Mr. 1.
Moreover, Mikael Hoover will portray Chopper, Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday, and Sendhil Ramamurthy as King Cobra are now confirmed as series regulars for the third season. Nami (Emily Rudd), Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero), Sanji (Taz Skylar), and Princess Vivi (Charithra Chandran) will also be returning to their roles.
One Piece Season 3 plot
The Going Merry is on a mission to set its coordinates for Alabasta, aiming to rescue Vivi’s kingdom from the brink of civil war. Mr. 0 (Manganiello) and Miss All Sunday (Abova) have initiated Operation Utopia, and it falls to the Straw Hats to thwart their scheme against Alabasta. Additionally, the Straw Hats will encounter the former Baroque Works officer agent Mr. 2, also known as Bon Clay (Escola), and Luffy will meet Gol D. Roger’s biological son, Portgas D. Ace (Maridueña), who was raised by his grandfather Vice Admiral Garp (Vincent Regan). Lastly, the Straw Hats will welcome a new crew member by the end of the season, and manga enthusiasts are already buzzing about Nico Robin, who was hinted at in the Season 2 finale.
One Piece Season 3 team
Ian Stokes, who served as co-executive producer for the first two seasons of One Piece, is now co-showrunner alongside Joe Tracz. Matt Owens, the previous co-showrunner and executive producer, departed from One Piece before the commencement of Season 3 in March 2025 to prioritize his mental well-being.
One Piece Season 3 premiere date
Fortunately, fans won’t have to endure a three-year wait for the next season, as production is already underway. Filming for Season 3 kicked off in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2025. With a tight post-production timeline, viewers can hopefully anticipate the show’s return a year later in 2027.
