So, whatās their next destination? The announcement for the third season of Netflixās One Piece came in August 2025, a full seven months prior to the debut of Season 2 on March 10. Xolo MaridueƱa from Cobra Kai joins the ensemble as Portgas D. Ace, while Tony Award winner Cole Escola steps in as the theatrical assassin Bon Clay. Additionally, the Straw Hats will encounter the former Baroque Works officer agent Mr. 2, also known as Bon Clay (Escola), and Luffy will meet Gol D. Roger’s biological son, Portgas D. Ace (MaridueƱa), who was raised by his grandfather Vice Admiral Garp (Vincent Regan). Lastly, the Straw Hats will welcome a new crew member by the end of the season, and manga enthusiasts are already buzzing about Nico Robin, who was hinted at in the Season 2 finale.

Ian Stokes, who served as co-executive producer for the first two seasons of One Piece, is now co-showrunner alongside Joe Tracz. Matt Owens, the previous co-showrunner and executive producer, departed from One Piece before the commencement of Season 3 in March 2025 to prioritize his mental well-being.
