During the weekend (March 13–14), 97 Hezbollah attack waves against Israel were identified. Of these, 82 attack waves (84.5%) were carried out using rockets and missiles, 11 attack waves (11.3%) using UAVs, and 4 attacks using anti-tank missiles. A significant escalation in the scope of activity was observed over the weekend. March 14 was the most intense day since the beginning of the fighting, with 56 attack waves in a single day—the highest daily figure recorded so far. The figures refer to the number of attack waves identified, not the total number of rockets, missiles, or UAVs actually launched. In addition, 27 of the attacks during the weekend targeted IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah. This information is based solely on Hezbollah’s claims of responsibility. Hezbollah also claimed responsibility for three additional attacks that were not included in the dataset—including a UAV attack south of Haifa and attacks toward a community following the downing of an aircraft in southern Lebanon—claims for which no additional independent indication was identified. Geographically, most attacks targeted communities along the border and in the Galilee, with additional strikes directed toward the Golan Heights, the Krayot area, and Haifa. It should be noted that the phenomenon of “launch failures” appears to be significant for Hezbollah, with a notable percentage of rockets failing to reach Israeli territory—either falling inside Lebanon or failing during launch. This occurs in addition to the high interception rates of Israel’s air defense systems. Since Hezbollah joined the fighting on March 2, a total of 465 attack waves against Israel have been identified. An examination of the weapons used indicates that rockets and missiles remain the organization’s primary attack method, accounting for 319 attack waves, alongside 132 UAV attack waves, 13 anti-tank missile attacks, and one IED attack. Hezbollah continues to expand the scope of its operational activity, combining large-scale rocket fire attempts with the continued use of UAVs and other weapons systems, in an effort to increase pressure on northern Israel and on IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon.
