Bug Out has returned to Pokémon Go! This year you can enjoy the Bug Out research tasks and bonuses, all the while hunting down the newly released Blipbug and shiny Sizzlipede. Just remember: Bug Out ends on Monday 23rd March at 8pm (local time), so make sure you get all of your bug hunting down before this date.

Bug Out field research tasks
Here are the Bug Out event-exclusive field research tasks:
Catch 5 Pokémon reward – 10 Poké Balls, 5 Great Balls or 3 Ultra Balls
Catch 10 Pokémon reward – Nincada encounter
Catch 15 Pokémon reward – Plant Cloak Burmy, Sand Cloak Burmy or Trash Cloak Burmy encounter
Catch 25 Pokémon reward – Volbeat or Illumise encounter
Win a raid reward – Durant encounter
Trade a Pokémon reward – Karrablast or Shelmet encounter
Volbeat and Illumise can be earned from the event-exclusive research tasks.
Bug Out bonuses
Shiny Sizzlipede and shiny Centiskorch can now be found in Pokémon Go!
Shiny Paras, shiny Combee, shiny Cutiefly have an increased chance of appearing at active Lure Modules.

The Bug Out event has returned and this year it’s brought the release of Blipbug! Don’t forget about the Pressure Rising Special Research quest.
There’s a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! From the Go Battle League, Remote Trading, PokéStop Showcase, Routes and Max Battles. Don’t forget to catch rare Pokémon while you’re at it.
Blipbug debuts in Pokémon Go
The release of Blipbug, Dottler and Orbeetle is the main attraction of the Bug Out event! These little bugs hail from the Galar region, making them part of Gen 8, and Orbeetle has its own Giganatamax form. Plan on adding them to your Pokédex? Then check out our how to get Blipbug guide.

Every player receives the Free Track.
Upgrading to the Deluxe Track costs $4.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.
Upgrading to the Deluxe Track with six Ranks pre-completed costs $6.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency.
Purchase is nonrefundable and can not be done using PokéCoin.
