Liverpool, UK – March 19th, 2026 – Skyhook Games is thrilled to announce that the Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 Kickstarter campaign is now live. The campaign, which will run until April 23rd, has an initial target of £15,000, with additional stretch goals including bonus in-game equipment, locations, and the potential to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Among the initial campaign tiers, backers will be able to pick up a digital key for the game on their chosen platform at launch, along with an exclusive in-game item and their name included in the credits. Higher tiers also offer ways to dedicate in-game items to top supporters, while the ultimate tier will allow the top backer to name the town where Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is set.
Planned to release on Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is being built from the ground-up to introduce cutting-edge new features and functionality over the much-loved original game, including new grass technology that renders lawns more naturally and realistically – and improves mowing and trimming to feel much more satisfying!
The introduction of the highly-requested leaf blower also gives players a brand new tool to tidy up their lawns, as they head to the USA to start a whole new career in the world of lawncare.
For the past year, Skyhook Games has been combing through feedback to the original Lawn Mowing Simulator, which was released with publisher support back in 2021. As a way of thanking the community for their passion and support, the team recently self-funded a large quality of life update, as well as the new ‘Heritage Park’ DLC.
“We’re incredibly excited to be launching the Kickstarter campaign for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 today, bringing players into our vision for the game and letting them back what they want to see from the game’s future development,” said David Harper, Managing Director at Skyhook Games. “As a small, independent, self-publishing developer, enabling the community to be involved in the future direction of the game’s development via Kickstarter stretch goals – while committing to self-fund the game through to release – is a key aim for the team. We can’t wait to see how players engage with the Kickstarter campaign.”
Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is planned for release on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S later in 2026. Check out the official Kickstarter for more information on how to back the campaign, or visit skyhookgames.com.
