Though he is no stranger to high profile romantic connections, even having dated Kim’s younger half-sister, Kendall Jenner, Lewis Hamilton’s mom feels differently about his relationship with the SKIMS founder. Lewis Hamilton’s Mother Gave An Exclusive Take On Her Thoughts About the Romance

Speaking to In Touch, a source with an inside connection to Lewis Hamilton’s mother, Carmen Larbalestier, revealed how the racing driver’s mom feels about her son’s ongoing relationship with Kim Kardashian, saying, “From Carmen’s perspective, the Kardashian lifestyle isn’t something that really meshes with her son’s personality long-term. She feels he’d be better off partnered with someone that’s much more low-key and private.”

However, it’s questionable how private Hamilton’s relationships are expected to be, especially given his past romantic links to some of the biggest stars in the world including Shakira, Sofia Vergara, Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Sofia Ritchie (now Sofia Ritchie Grainge) and Rita Ora. Not to mention his eight-year relationship with the Pussycat Dolls’ lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Lewis Hamilton Has Previously Expressed How He Takes His Mom’s Opinion Into Consideration

With a busy Formula 1 season underway – albeit down two Grand Prix races after both April 2026 weekends, including the Bahrain GP and the Saudi Arabian GP, were canceled due to rising tensions in the Middle East – Lewis Hamilton still found an opportunity to spend some quality time with his mother earlier this month. Reflecting on his mom’s role in his life, Hamilton took to his Instagram account to share multiple photos of the pair together, writing, “Spending time with my mum has brought me so much joy.”

Hamilton’s kind sentiments about his mother are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the mother-son relationship the two share. Carmen Larbalestier has been a strong supporter of her son’s racing career in motorsport, and it doesn’t seem as though Lewis will sacrifice his bond with my mom anytime in the future, so this may be an obstacle that he and Kim will need to tackle if their relationship continues and evolves into anything beyond a romantic fling.
