Part of advance screenings’ talk show to stream on October 4 before anime’s premiere

The official website for the new anime of Rumiko Takahashi‘s Ranma 1/2 manga started streaming the clean opening sequence without credits for the anime’s second season on Wednesday. Wednesday Campanella performs the opening theme song “Wo Ai Ni” (I Love You). 

The website also announced that there will be two special advance screenings of the second season, with accompanying talk show segments with the lead cast members, at Tokyo’s United Cinema Toyosu theater on its October 4 premiere date, but earlier in the day at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. EDT).  Part of the 5:30 p.m. screening’s talk show segment will stream for free on YouTube and X (formerly Twitter).

The second season will premiere on October 4 on NTV at 24:55 (effectively October 5 at 12:55 a.m.). The series will stream on Netflix after the television broadcast.

Toshihiko Seki returns from the first Ranma 1/2 anime 32 years later to reprise the role of Mousse. The other newly announced cast members are:

Most of the staff from the first season return for the second season. However, Kōsuke Kawamura joins the staff as one of the chief animation directors, and Ryūta Hayashi joins Chihiro Ōkawa on directing the art.

nishina will perform the ending theme song “Panda Girl.”

The anime premiered nationwide in Japan in October 2024. The anime exclusively streamed on Netflix after its broadcast.

Kōnosuke Uda (One Piece: Dead End film, DAYS) directed the first season at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno (Delicious in Dungeon, Astro Note) was in charge of series scripts, and Hiromi Taniguchi (Kurage no Shokudō) designed the characters.
