Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech and Qblox have announced an expansion of their collaboration to advance the deployment of hybrid digital-analog quantum computing systems in Europe. The partnership, which builds on joint work at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), will now extend to Qilimanjaro’s Hybrid Quantum Data Center in Barcelona, which is scheduled to open this November.

The collaboration aims to enable scalable, reliable systems by combining Qilimanjaro’s analog processors with digital ones based on European superconducting technology, along with Qblox’s advanced control stacks. This will be the first instance of analog and digital quantum computers with superconducting technology operating side by side in a high-performance computing environment. The systems will be offered as a cloud service to ensure broad access for end-users and to help advance research across both industry and research.

This partnership aligns with the broader European drive for quantum sovereignty. Through initiatives such as ImpaQT, Qilimanjaro and Qblox are combining their strengths to support Europe’s leadership in the advancement of quantum computing. Marta P. Estarellas, CEO of Qilimanjaro, noted that the collaboration brings the companies closer to opening quantum technology to end-users.
