Global adventure equipment leader Sea to Summit has appointed Lachy Banton to the role of Brand Copywriter. Banton joins the growing in-house creative and design team after a decade-long tenure in the advertising industry, most recently as Associate Creative Director at The Brand Agency, Perth.
In his new role, Banton will work alongside the Sea to Summit marketing and product teams to help bring the brand’s gear, innovation and outdoor philosophy to life through storytelling as the company continues to grow globally.
Banton said the opportunity to work more closely with a product and brand he genuinely connects with made the move hard to ignore.
“Leaving the agency world is definitely bittersweet because I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented people who are also close friends,” Banton said.
“But the chance to join a brand like Sea to Summit felt like the right adventure. I’ve always been a bit of a gear nerd, so getting to spend my days writing about equipment designed for real exploration is extremely exciting.”

The appointment comes as the Perth-founded company continues to invest in strengthening its in-house marketing and creative capability.
