Amanda Seyfried leads the cast of the fascinating drama about Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of the biotech company Theranos, which claimed it had developed technology that could change everything about blood testing. The ambitious entrepreneur managed to raise more than $700 million from some of the most powerful investors in America before the truth came to light: everything she had done was flawed. Fans of Industry, Succession and The Social Network will enjoy this engrossing show anchored by an impressive lead performance.
Marriage (iPlayer)

Stefan Golaszewski’s clever drama stars Nicola Walker and Sean Bean as Ian and Emma, a midlife couple navigating the harsh reality of a nearly 30-year relationship. Their constant bickering over mundane chores, just like any other couple, is what makes them so relatable — they are simply a normal pair. This is a profound look at the lives of ordinary people, and it’s quite moving.
Upload (Prime Video)
The sitcom veteran Greg Daniels (the man behind The Office US and Parks and Recreation) is the creator of this sci-fi comedy drama, set in 2033, where humans can upload themselves into a virtual world of their choosing. After his sudden death Nathan (Robbie Amell) chooses to live in the virtual Lakeview, but things aren’t what he expects and get even stranger when questions about his death arise.
Blood (Netflix)
Avaliable on Acorn TV in the US
If you’re a fan of Adrian Dunbar’s Ted Hastings in Line of Duty, discover a different side to the actor in this dark drama. The series also stars Carolina Main as Cat Hogan, who returns to her small home town and starts to suspect her father (Dunbar) was involved in the death of her mother. The first season aired on Channel 5 in 2018 but you can now catch this worthwhile watch on Netflix.
Defending Jacob (Apple TV)
Those who were intrigued by the themes of the Netflix hit series Adolescence may want to dive into this eight-part crime mystery based on the 2012 novel of the same name by William Landay. Chris Evans (aka Captain America) and Michelle Dockery play parents facing a nightmare: their 14-year-old son is accused of fatally stabbing a schoolmate. It offers an enthralling portrait of a family’s life under extreme pressure.
