Robert Pattinson is in line to have a big year in 2026. His new A24 movie with Zendaya arrives in theaters everywhere this weekend, and although it has The Super Mario Galaxy Movie to contend with, it’s still expected to find moderate success at the box office. He’s also set to reunite with Christopher Nolan for one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer in The Odyssey, which stars Tom Holland and Matt Damon. He previously worked with the director on Tenet, the 2020 sci-fi film co-starring John David Washington. Pattinson will wrap things up by making his debut on Arrakis in Dune: Part Three, which will premiere in theaters on December 18. He’s been tapped to play Scytale in the film, the shapeshifting villain set to cause a serious problem in the War of the Great Houses.

However, in the midst of all the new releases, Pattinson is also set to begin work on what many would argue is his most anticipated film currently in development. In 2022, Pattinson made his feature debut as Bruce Wayne in The Batman, the gothic take on The Dark Knight from director Matt Reeves. The film was a smash hit, and Warner Bros. immediately greenlit a sequel, but development was complicated when James Gunn took over as DC’s new creative head. He remained committed to helping Reeves see through his Batman vision, though, and The Batman Part II has been set for release on October 1, 2027. During promotion for The Drama when Pattinson appeared on the French show C à vous, he confirmed that he would begin work on The Batman: Part 2 “in one week.”
