If The Burbs sounds familiar, it’s because Sky’s latest comedy-thriller is inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film that starred Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher. The series takes us to present-day suburbia where young couple, Samira and Rob Fisher (Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall), have somewhat reluctantly relocated to Rob’s childhood home. At first, it seems like your average neighbourhood, but when a new neighbour moves in across the street, the illusion is very quickly shattered. Available to watch now on Sky One and NOW.

The Dublin-set drama that follows Jane Seymour’s Harriet “Harry” Will is back. We meet the retired professor of literature turned sleuth a year on from the events of series three, and business is booming at the Wild/Reid Detective Agency. This time around, Harry and sidekick Fergus (Rohan Nedd) are joined by an unexpected client in the form of Charlie Wild, played by Kevin Ryan, for a fresh batch of brilliantly gripping mysteries. Series 4 is arriving on Sunday 5th April at 8pm on U&Drama.

The beloved Death in Paradise spin-off is officially back on our screens and the fourth instalment is every bit as good as we hoped it would be. The series takes us back to the fictional Devon town of Shipton Abbott, where DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) is back to doing what he does best – solving some of the most baffling crimes around. Think a stolen treasure map, a mermaid sighting and the death of a novelist – and you get the gist. Continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Friday 3rd April.

There’s nothing quite like a Jane Austen drama and what better time to binge one than on a long weekend? Based on Janice Hadlow’s Regency-set novel, the “other” Bennet sister being referred to is Mary, the middle daughter of the five Bennet sisters in Pride and Prejudice. One by one, her sisters marry but Mary appears to be destined to remain single, until she slowly discovers that perhaps there is hope for her, after all. Continues on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Sunday 5th April.

If you missed the third series of Channel 5’s hit anthology drama this week, now’s the chance to catch up. The Crow Girl’s Victoria Hamilton steps into the shoes of Helen, a 50-something drama teacher, who’s finding life at a reputable private school challenging, to say the least. Despite being promoted to Head of Drama, she struggles to earn the respect of her pupils and when one of them commits suicide following an argument with her, another pupil is determined to make Helen pay for it. All four episodes are available to watch now on My5.

This ER-esque series is finally available to watch in the UK – and it doesn’t disappoint. Noah Wyle returns to our screens as the lovable at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center and when we say the series takes us to the heart of the action (see also: medical emergencies), we really mean it. The especially clever part is the fact that the series follows an entire 15-hour shift from start to finish over the course of one shift. Genius. Available to watch now on HBO Max via Sky.

Four years on from its launch, ITV’s beloved detective drama, Grace, is still going strong and the latest instalment proves why. Detective Superintendent Roy Grace is back and the fallout from the Cassian Pewe debacle (remember Sam Hoare’s ACC Cassian Pewe?) is still hanging over everybody as the team is investigated. Sunday’s episode will introduce us to a new case, but the threat of the investigation and the chilling warning that came at the end of series five still looms large in the background. Continues on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday 5th April.

If you haven’t yet seen Netflix’s latest detective drama, you’re in for a treat. Adapted from Norwegian author Jo Nesbø’s bestselling Harry Hole book series, the nine-parter follows talented but troubled homicide detective Harry Hole (Tobias Santelmann), who’s on the hunt for a serial killer. On top of that, he’s also trying to put a stop to the antics of his corrupt colleague, detective Tom Waaler (Joel Kinnaman). The question is: can he bring both the serial killer and detective Waaler to justice? A very worthy adaptation that absolutely does the books justice. Available to watch now on Netflix.
