Police said that two people were detained and theĀ investigation is ongoing

Offset was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, a representative for the rapper confirmed to Rolling Stone.

ā€œWe can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,ā€ said the spokesperson. ā€œHe is stable and being closely monitored.ā€

In a statement to Rolling Stone, the Seminole Police Department said that they ā€œare aware of an incident that occurred at a valet areaĀ after 7 p.m. Mondayā€ outside of the Florida casino that ā€œresulted in non-life threatening injuries to an individualĀ whoĀ wasĀ transported to Memorial Regional HospitalĀ in Hollywood.ā€ The department said that police were ā€œon site immediately and the situation was containedĀ quickly.ā€ Two individuals have been detained and theĀ investigation is ongoing.

The incident comes more than three years after Takeoff, a member of the rap trio, died at the age of 28 on Nov. 1, 2022, after he was shot in Houston. Following his death, Offset shared a tribute to his bandmate and cousin. ā€œThe pain you have left me with is unbearable,ā€ Offset wrote. ā€œMy heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.ā€Ā 

On the one one-year anniversary of theĀ MigosĀ rapper’sĀ tragic death, Offset and Quavo remembered Takeoff’s legacy. ā€œThe times we spent is priceless what we built in this game they never wanted to give us our flowers we influenced the world,ā€ Offset wrote in a social media post at the time. ā€œI Love you Take you still here with us I just know you are!!!! Migo 4Life!!!!!!ā€
