Former soldier and Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith has been arrested and charged in relation to multiple counts of allegedly murdering unarmed Afghan civilians and prisoners.
The Australian Federal Police confirmed on Tuesday that Roberts-Smith had been arrested and later charged with five offences of “war crimes – murder” in breach of the Commonwealth Criminal Code.
