Somewhere, pop-rock star Pink is hopefully raising a glass. Per the Wall Street Journal, the Grammy-winning artist recently bought a historic townhouse in Greenwich Village for $21.5 million. The purchase marks the singer’s move toward putting down roots on the East Coast, trading her longtime California home base for a slice of lower Manhattan.
Built around 1849, the five-bedroom Greek Revival residence spans roughly 8,000 square feet across six levels connected by an elevator. It also has multiple terraces with over 800 square feet of outdoor space. After decades owned by the same family, the home hit the market in 2024 for $25 million but was ultimately snapped up at its most recent asking price.

The Greenwich property also has five-and-a-half bathrooms and a studio with a 30-foot-tall ceiling.
Once home to the famed sculptor Daniel Chester French, the townhouse was later sold to the Fonseca family. The creative ménage, which had owned the space since the 1950s, included sculptor Gonzalo Fonseca and his wife, painter Elizabeth Kaplan Fonseca, as well as their four children.
The home’s artistic history is palpable. In one section, an airy double-height room unfolds beneath oversized skylights, washing the interiors in gallery-like light. White brick walls encompass two staircases—a spiral one discreetly tucked into the corner—and a long wooden dining table positioned near a grand piano.

Elsewhere, the townhouse continues to embrace a soft, contemporary atmosphere. A front-facing living room, decorated with minimalist artwork, is flooded with natural light from tall windows. Meanwhile, curved upholstered chairs, a circular coffee table, and a pared-back fireplace make the space feel livable.

Upstairs, a lofted area is framed by exposed beams and a wall of gridded windows overlooking treetops. The bright room, staged as a wellness space, includes built-in shelving and a wet bar with a wine cooler tucked into a nook.

While guest-hosting the Kelly Clarkson Show last month, Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore, revealed that she relocated to NYC to support her 14-year-old daughter Willow’s interest in the arts. “We actually moved here because I am an amazing mom—and also so Willow could study theater and experience more Broadway,” she said. The timing also aligns with the singer’s Tony Awards hosting gig at Radio City Music Hall in June.
