Global RAM shortages have already caused prices to rise, and we’ve seen various companies hike the price of phones and laptops by varying amounts over the last few weeks. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 was among them, with the higher storage options jumping by $80. Hardly ideal for a phone that starts at $1,999. But, thankfully, Amazon has flown in with an incredible discount that wipes any price hike off the table.

You can pick up the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 for $1,599 at Amazon right now. That’s the model with 256GB of storage, and a saving of $400 off the usual price. It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve ever seen, but it’s close!

Galaxy Z Fold 7, the discounts are more than making up for Samsung’s brazen price hikes.

There are many benefits to buying a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, even if you haven’t owned one of the best foldable phones before. The biggest change is that Samsung finally introduced a 200MP camera lens on this model, bringing its camera performance more in line with flagship Galaxy phones.

Samsung also added a bigger display, slimmed down the overall design, while also offering a similar level of battery and performance power you’d expect from non-folding phones. Plus, it includes all the best features from Galaxy AI, which is not something a lot of other foldables can claim. Especially not the upcoming iPhone Fold, thanks to how poorly Apple Intelligence has taken off.

Admittedly, there are some drawbacks to buying a Z Fold 7. Cost is the main one, and even with $400 off, you’re still paying considerably more than you would for a non-foldable phone. There’s also no S Pen support, with Samsung removing the hardware needed to use its stylus on the Z Fold 7. Considering the size of the foldable screen, that stylus could have come in handy.
