Bolin Technology has introduced a new range of hardware for live production environments, including two PTZ cameras and an updated production controller.
Range PTZR camera The Range PTZR is an indoor and outdoor camera designed for a range of environments. It features a 1/1.8-inch Sony sensor capable of 4K60 video with 25X zoom. The unit holds an IP65 rating and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +60°C.
The motion system includes high-precision brushless motors supporting movement up to 300° per second. The image module rotates up to 270° for vertical video and horizon correction. Connectivity options include 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, USB-C (UVC), and Ethernet, with support for NDI, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, and ONVIF workflows. The unit also features an integrated screen for settings and preview, and a carrying handle with accessory mounting points.
R9-L420N PTZ camera The R9-L420N features a 1-inch sensor capable of 4K60 video with 20X zoom and 1080p capture at 120 fps. The camera includes hybrid autofocus and adjustable cropped outputs to generate alternative framing from a single image.
For multi-camera environments, the R9-L420N supports LTC timecode and Genlock. Exposure is managed via built-in ND filters. Connectivity includes dual 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, Optical SDI, and IP outputs, with support for NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX3, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, ONVIF, and MPEG-TS.
KBD Plus production controller The KBD Plus controller integrates camera control, monitoring, and automation tools. The unit includes decoding for up to four IP camera sources, with video output provided via HDMI 2.0 and USB-C (UVC). The interface includes a 4-inch LCD touch display and a precision joystick, alongside user-definable buttons.
Supported control protocols include VISCA over IP, VISCA over serial, NDI, and ONVIF, as well as manufacturer-specific protocols. A future software update is scheduled to add AI-based subject tracking functionality.
