IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a tour in the combat areas in southern Gaza Strip with acting Shin Bet chief S., Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asur, Gaza Division commander Brig. Gen. Barak Hiram and other commanders. He spoke with soldiers on site and said, “Soon we will mark two years of war, we are doing everything to return the hostages quickly and defeat Hamas. We aim to reduce the burden on reservists, refresh forces and increase attrition of the enemy.” In light of the approval of David Zini’s appointment as Shin Bet chief, he said: “We operate in quality cooperation with the Shin Bet. The collaboration between the organizations will continue to grow and bring operational achievements to strengthen security.”
