In recent months, we’ve seen numerous Galaxy Z TriFold leaks and have even uncovered some exclusive details. There’s no doubt that it’s one of Samsung’s most anticipated devices. According to recent reports, Samsung is expected to unveil the trifold next month, but it likely won’t be available until November. There’s also a greater chance it will make it to the US. Today’s leak reveals several new features coming to the Galaxy Z TriFold.

Leaked animation files reveal almost everything the Galaxy Z TriFold will offer

The leaker in question is TechHighest on X, who has posted several videos. In total, there are 14 animation clips, each highlighting what the Galaxy Z TriFold could do. One animation showcases a familiar feature: the ability to continue apps on the main screen. You can start an app on the cover display, then open the phone and pick up right where you left off.

You’ll obviously have the option to copy over your homescreen from the cover display over to the main display like current foldables. pic.twitter.com/4OMvne6BFt

Another clip shows the Samsung Internet app with Galaxy AI activated. Galaxy AI can take up about a third of the screen, or you can detach it into its own floating window. Calls also appear as floating windows that can be moved around, giving users more flexibility while multitasking.

Other animations show that homescreen apps from the cover display can be copied over to the main screen. The device can even be flipped into portrait mode, something we haven’t seen on previous foldables. This makes it feel a bit like a tablet or e-reader in how it handles apps and widgets.

The camera app also gets some attention. One clip shows a 100x zoom option, which would be a first for a Samsung foldable and hints at the possible use of a periscope lens.

DeX support is also included, letting users connect the TriFold to a larger display and use it like a mini-computer, similar to how DeX works on other Samsung devices.

Multitasking takes center stage throughout the animations, with resizable floating windows, split-screen apps, and drag-and-drop functionality. Suffice to say, the Galaxy Z TriFold feels like a hybrid between a phone, tablet, and mini-laptop.
