According to report from Korean entertainment media OSEN on September 23, Netflix is reviewing the possibility of producing both Season 2 and Season 3 of its live-action medical series Trauma Code: Heroes on Call simultaneously.

A source from Netflix Korea told the outlet, “We’re grateful for the interest in Trauma Code: Heroes on Call. Follow-up seasons are currently under review, but nothing has been finalized.”

Earlier reports claimed Netflix had already confirmed production of Seasons 2 and 3, with filming expected to begin in summer 2026.

The series follows Kang-hyuk Baek (Ji-hoon Ju), a brilliant surgeon who once served on battlefields. The drama depicts his efforts to revive a dysfunctional trauma team and restore purpose to an underfunded hospital unit.

The eight-episode first season debuted worldwide on January 24 and became a breakout hit, topping Netflix’s global non-English TV show rankings and sparking strong demand for a sequel. Now, fans are awaiting confirmation on whether Netflix will move forward with two new seasons at once.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call is based on the web novel Trauma Center: Golden Hour, written by Han Sani, who is himself an ENT doctor.

The webtoon Trauma Center: Golden Hour is available on WEBTOON. The webtoon started its second season in English on January 12. Hongbichira, a medical illustrator, draws the webtoon.
