Reservist 1stSgt. Alexander Glovanyov, 47, from Petah Tikva, was killed near the Lebanon border, the IDF announced on Monday morning.

Glovanyov was a lead vehicle driver in the 6924th Transport Battalion. His family has been notified.

Army Radio reported that Glovanyov had been killed when several Hezbollah drones had infiltrated Israeli territory, exploding near the Lebanon border.

The drones had not been identified by the IDF’s systems, and as such Glovanyov had received no advance warning of the danger, and was killed by one of the explosions.

Army Radio also stated that Glovanyov was the fourth IDF soldier to be killed during the ongoing ceasefire with Hezbollah as a result of explosive drones.

This is a developing story.
