Prince Harry was reportedly a bit shaken after Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was allegedly harassed by a masked man near his new home at Sandringham Estate.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, lost taxpayer-funded security in the U.K. after he and wife Meghan Markle stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020 — one of the reasons why he hasn’t been back home much since moving to California.
After seeing what happened recently with the former Prince Andrew, “Harry was horrified,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter for a report published last week on his Naughty But Nice Substack.
“If someone can get that close to Andrew near a royal estate, then nobody is truly protected anymore,” the source said.
Last Wednesday, the former Duke of York, 66, was said to be out walking his dogs when “officers were called” following a report that “a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village,” per People.
“Harry believes this validates everything he’s been saying,” a source told Shuter. “He keeps asking what stops the same thing from happening to Meghan or the children.”

“Harry does not defend Andrew personally,” another source added of Harry’s uncle, who has been stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles III amid renewed scrutiny into his ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “But he believes royals are permanent high-risk targets regardless of public opinion.”
After Andrew’s alleged harasser was arrested, Norfolk Police announced (via People) that Alex Jenkinson was charged with two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior to harass, cause alarm or distress and failing to provide a blood specimen in custody.
The 39-year-old reportedly appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court and pleaded not guilty to the counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior to harass, cause alarm or distress. He pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen.
The BBC reported that Jenkinson is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on July 29, when Andrew is expected to give evidence.
Jenkinson was reportedly released on conditional bail.
Though Andrew has consistently denied wrongdoing and maintained his innocence regarding his connection to the late financier, he was forced to vacate Royal Lodge and move to his new home at Marsh Farm.
