It sounds like Baby Latto has arrived just in time for the launch of her mom’s forthcoming album, which is of course called Big Mama. Latto seemingly announced that she’d given birth to her first child with an Instagram video charting her journey into motherhood. It featured clips of Latto at various stages of the pregnancy telling her friends and family the news, recording in the studio, and holding a baby cheetah while shooting the cover of her album, due out May 29. Over the footage, she said in a clip addressed to her little one: “I was already thinking about naming the album Big Mama. And then I found out about you, and everything fell into place.”
The video also showed snippets of the rapper with her boyfriend, 21 Savage, whom Latto confirmed she was dating in September after years of speculation. Elsewhere, footage from a very fun-looking baby shower showed Usher and Angel Reese trying to guess the baby’s gender. The WNBA player commented on Latto’s post, “auntie league baby is hereeeee🥹😍”
Latto first announced her pregnancy in March by dropping the cover image for Big Mama, featuring her baby bump and the aforementioned cheetah. Now all that’s left to do is birth the album later this month. I am excited for that, but I am equally as excited about the prospect of Baby Latto in the recording studio. I wonder how quickly that will happen …
