200 MP against 100 MP

In terms of resolution, the Oppo Find X9 Pro even has advantages. A 200 MP ISOCELL HP5 sensor is used for the 70mm telephoto lens, as leaker Digital Chat Station recently revealed in a Weibo post (see comparison below). The yet-to-be-officially announced Samsung sensor is rumored to combine 200 MP with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, corresponding to a pixel size of 0.5 micrometers. Hasselblad, on the other hand, specifies a pixel size of 3.76 micrometers for the 100 MP medium-format sensor. What’s special about the Oppo Find X9 Pro, however, is that it now shoots at the highest possible resolution by default, i.e., 50 or 200 MP, and no longer scales down to 12 MP, at least not when “certain conditions” are met, such as sufficient ambient light.
