Climate Action 100+ has warned that some US firms are “quietly omitting targets from their disclosures without clear explanation or acknowledgement”, hindering investors’ ability to track changes in emissions targets. The collaborative initiative said investors have been engaging companies in North America since 2023 to strengthen their targets, but some have quietly removed them in light of the current policy and market environment.
