The latest statement from the Prime Minister’s Office on the issue was Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz taking responsibility for the Israeli strike in the Dahiyeh area at around 3 P.M. A later statement in the evening did not address security or policy matters, instead expressing condolences over the killing of Sgt. Maj. Haim Kolomiti in Sunday’s attack in the Sharon region.
In Israel, there is no single official body providing continuous briefings on political developments in the ongoing campaign. Inquiries can be directed to the Prime Minister’s Office spokesperson unit, though responses to journalists are limited. Regular public briefings are typically held only by the IDF Spokesman Effie Defrin, who addresses military developments but not political or civilian matters.
