Shatcombe Lane in West Compton will be closed to allow Wessex Internet engineers to carry out fibre cable installation. The road will be closed between its junction with Barrowland Lane and Sheephouse Barn, a distance of 2,955m.

The works are programmed to take place from Monday, October 6 to Friday October 10.

Wessex Internet will publicise the road closure in a number of ways including the placement of information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works. They will also carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works and they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network.

A diversion route has been put in place taking motorists through Wynford Eagle onto Spyway Road.
