An Israeli Air Force fighter jet earlier today released ammunition as part of an attack on the Gaza Strip, but during the operation a technical malfunction occurred and the ammunition exploded in the air over the Mediterranean Sea. This was reported by an IDF spokesperson, who noted there was no danger to the aircraft, there are no casualties and the incident is being investigated.
