A.I.R. Gallery – Fellowship for Emerging and Underrepresented Women and Non-Binary Artists
The program awards six emerging artists their first solo exhibition, a $3,000 stipend, professional development, curatorial support, and mentorship during a 12-month fellowship that runs September 2026–August 2027.

at Louis Place – Artist Publishing Cohort
This new initiative offers personalized support for eight artists with publishing projects in progress. Those selected will receive a $1,000 stipend, participate in a weekly writing workshop, and have access to all aLP resources.

Center for Art & Advocacy Fellowship
This fellowship offers an award of $10,000 in unrestricted funds and $10,000 in project development funds to formerly incarcerated artists. Fellows are invited to an annual retreat to network with previous fellows, advocates, industry leaders, and funders.

PhotoWork Foundation – Junior Fellowship
This fellowship supports early-career photographers in developing a body of work through one-on-one mentorship with established photographers, a $1,000 stipend, and $2,000 in photographic services. There is a $35 application fee.

Project Row Houses – Artist Studio Residency
This program provides artists with subsidized studio space for up to three years in Houston’s Third Ward, giving them affordable space to create, experiment, and grow their practice while being part of a vibrant community.

Tallgrass Artist Residency
Individual artists and artist teams can apply for a 10-night residency in a prairie setting. Artists receive a $650 stipend and lodging at Matfield Station, 20 miles from Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Flint Hills region of Kansas.
