Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem made their first public appearance together in months on July 2 as they attended a FIFA World Cup game in Los Angeles. The couple danced in the stands after Spain defeated Austria in the global soccer tournament.
Cruz and Bardem celebrated their home country’s win alongside singer Rosalía in a video posted on Instagram. The actress showed her team spirit in a graphic T-shirt baring Spain’s signature colors, red and yellow. Cruz tucked her top into a pair of jeans, adding a trucker hat to shield her eyes from the sun. As for Bardem, he opted for an olive-green T-shirt, jeans, and a blue cap.

The last time that Bardem and Cruz were photographed together was in May, when they attended another soccer match in Paris. The actor and actress haven’t walked a red carpet since 2024. Bardem and Cruz tied the knot in 2010, welcoming their children, son Leo and daughter Luna, in 2011 and 2013.
Cruz is currently sporting a brand new haircut. On June 29, the Volver star’s hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos showed off her latest chop, which he’s dubbing the “weekend bob.”

As the 52-year-old promoted her new film, The Invite, she had something very special planned for a press day in Los Angeles. Cruz took a couple of inches off her shoulder-length tresses, debuting a stylish bob.
“I wanted to create for Penelope something fresh and effortless,” Giannetos wrote in the caption of an Instagram post. “Keep the luxury of the hair seen through the between chin/shoulder fresh cut but give an undone flair with a lot of texture, just the energy you have on a weekend! Something to make u feel free!”

He went on to explain that he achieved this texture by drying her sun-kissed strands with a round brush, adding some “bends” with a 1.25-inch curling iron. He topped off the “boxy bob” with Elnette hair spray.
Cruz showed off her perfectly tousled hair in a waist-up shot that saw her crossing her arms, clad in a white T-shirt. Her bronzed makeup look consisted of taupe eyeshadow, black eyeliner, rosy cheeks, and a muted matte lip.
