This season sees luxury houses like Gucci, Loewe and Zegna revisiting signature codes, while other brands like Isabel Marant and Stella McCartney tap into nostalgia and personality. It all adds up to a playful summer capsule wardrobe brimming with a mix of heritage silk revivals, wedge sneakers and the perfect tank top – plus some colourful luggage in which to pack it all.GucciGucci’s The Art of Silk collection. French designer Isabel Marant is single-handedly responsible for making wedge sneakers cool. While it never went out of style, the Bekett – one of her signature creations – has had a mini renaissance in recent years. Available in leather or suede, the sporty chic shoe comes in classic colours such as taupe as well as bright hues like desert pink.

Every year, Loewe ushers in the summer season with its Paula’s Ibiza collection, named after the iconic boutique on the Spanish island that is one of the hottest destinations among jet-setters. The playful and relaxed vibe is evident with this loose top paired with a matching sarong in colours that evoke a Mediterranean sunset.
