As I’m sure you know by now, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco got married on Saturday, and while the happy couple have shared some photos of their day on Instagram, they haven’t divulged any of the specific details.

There have been various reports from anonymous sources in the days since the nuptials, but nobody from the actual wedding party has spoken out… Until now.
Selena’s Wizards of Waverly Place costar David DeLuise, who played the star’s onscreen dad Jerry in the Disney Channel show, and his wife, Julia DeLuise, were among the star-studded guests, and have been spilling the beans on Instagram.

Per People, Julia, who is also an actor, confirmed reports that Selena’s best friend Taylor Swift and British singer Ed Sheeran gave a speech at the wedding, with Julia saying: “The speeches — Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift gave speeches — it was wonderful. Mainly Taylor.”

And just how much Julia has fawned over Taylor in light of Selena’s big day has raised eyebrows on social media, with Julia also detailing that she had a 10-minute conversation with the singer, who complimented her dress.
Julia explained that she was with Wizards star Jennifer Stone when Taylor came over to them. She said: “She walked over while we were waiting for Selena to come to get married, and she knows Jennifer, so she came straight toward us.”

“When she walked in, all these other people were already there, but it was like the heavens opened up and an angel descended, and it was her. She walked in and she walked up to us and we talked,” Julia went on.

David added in another of Julia’s since-expired Instagram stories: “Being around Taylor, she’s just amazing. Like the energy that was popping off of her.”

And people can’t help but side-eye these comments being made about anyone other than the bride after a wedding, with one person quote-tweeting Julia’s comments and adding: “If my wedding guests spoke about my friend like this at my own wedding, they would be getting an invoice for the meal they had.”

“at someone else’s wedding? @D_DELUISE have some respect,” another echoed, while one more asked: “saying this about someone else’s wedding???”
And another pointed out: “Babe it’s Selena’s wedding.”
“Even Selena Gomez not safe from being upstaged on her wedding day,” somebody else mused, and one more shared a shocked GIF with the caption: “saying this about someone on someone’s else’s wedding day.”
Meanwhile, Julia also revealed that details of the wedding were kept “pretty secret” after she and David received the initial invitation, and they were eventually given two hotel options to be picked up from.

“We knew we would be picked up at a certain time at one of those hotels, then go straight to the wedding,” she said, before praising the “gorgeous” venue. “The effort they put, the wedding planners, the way they set this all up, I mean, that was insane.”
Julia also noted that there was a live band during the reception, adding: “We danced so much, it was amazing. We danced like right next to Lizzo, and right next to all these other famous people.”
“People were not allowed to bring their phones into the wedding or to the party afterward,” she also revealed. “You would get there and they would take your phone and put it in like a little pouch, you would get a number, and would be able to pick it up later.”
Both Julia and David said that they cried during the ceremony, with David saying of the vows: “Everything that was said was so great. And when they opened the curtain for the first time in the day, the sun came out, and it was sunset behind her. It was as if they were like: ‘Don’t worry, cue the sun.’ I was crying, of course, the whole time.”
