Fawn rescued from Astoria roof on Fourth of July, reunited with mother

ASTORIA, Ore. (KATU) — Oh, deer! A fawn had to be rescued from a roof in Astoria on the Fourth of July.

“This certainly doesn’t happen every day, but somehow this young deer got onto a roof and needed a little help from your Astoria firefighters,” the Astoria Fire Department said. “If you find yourself stuck on a roof, we’ll come get you, too!”

The fawn was reunited with its mother.
