Daily Show” host Jon Stewart on Monday slammed President Donald Trump for abandoning “reality” in his plan to deploy federal troops to “war ravaged” Portland, Oregon, the site of protests against his immigration crackdown.

Trump, in an interview with NBC News, suggested that his aides told him that people are “literally attacking” each other and there are “fires all over the place” in Portland.

“And dragons! There be dragons!” added Stewart.

Moments earlier, the comedian knocked Trump for focusing on the city amid an “orgy of mass shootings” over the weekend.

He turned to Trump’s “telling” response to Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek, who tried to explain to the president over the phone that Portland wasn’t in a “state of war.”

Trump then reportedly said on the call, “I said, ‘Well, wait a minute, am I watching things on television that are different from what’s happening?’”

Stewart scolded the president for acting “rashly” instead of trying to determine what the reality was on the ground in Portland.

“He goes, ‘Code Red, Red Team Go!’ because he sees it on fucking TV and acts impulsively. He sends out the National Guard the same way you or I might make a late night ShamWow! purchase,” he joked alongside a screengrab from the iconic 2000s infomercial.

Stewart proceeded to lean in and whisper toward the camera, “In reality, it’s just a fucking rag, but at three in the morning — it’s magic!”
