After Minister Ofir Sofer announced his retirement from political life, Religious Zionism MK Moshe Solomon also announced he will not run in the party’s upcoming primaries. “I believe in IDF service, in shared responsibility for the right to serve, as part of the responsibility for building the state and the entire nation,” he wrote on his X account. “When the party chose to abandon these principles, I felt I could no longer look my constituents in the eye and tell them I represent them as they expect from me.” He added: “The faction’s decisions in recent votes, as well as the decision to remove me from committees due to my value-based choice and fulfillment of my public mission, proved to me that the party’s position differs from the position I represent.”
